6 weeks old and going strong!

Little Leah is not so little any more. She is getting bigger by the day and filling out well. She has been eating well and sleeping up to 4 1/2 hours at a stretch which mommy really loves. She spends much more of her day awake now and is really getting "grabby" - watch out for your glasses! Leah is now getting too big for many of her newborn clothes and has moved into the 3 month stuff - so different than her big sister. We get to see a couple of smiles here and there, but she still is not showing off her personality much. Her big sister is very good to her - lots of hugs and kisses. Here are a couple of recent pictures for a comparison

Getting bigger

Our little Leah is getting bigger by the day. She is starting to "pudge" out nicely and by unofficial weigh-ins here at casa Raubenolt, she is now topping 10lbs. We will get an official weigh in and check up this Friday at her one month check. Hard to believe a month has passed already. Leah is still doing OK with sleeping, although now that she is more awake she tends to get a little more upset when set in her crib - a little less sleep for mom and dad! Leah and Meagan are getting along famously, although Meagan sometimes still does not get why she will not talk or play with her dollhouse. Here are a few more photos of Meagan with Leah and Meagan and her grandpa

Dr. visit

Leah went in today to see the Doc to ensure that she is getting bigger. She is doing a good job, weighing in at 8lbs 2oz today. The doctor was pleased with the little girl so all is well - next visit will be her one month check up. Leah is starting to become a little more alert but she still spends the majority of her time snoozing. Hard to imagine how she can with a 3 year old poking and prodding her at every opportunity! Leah has been a very happy girl so far. She is taking to her crib well and rarely gets upset unless she is hungry.

Leah enters the world

It was a speedy entry for little Leah. Momma got to the hospital just before 3am and Leah arrived at 5:07 am January 14th. She arrived so quick that we did not have time to decide on her name. We let her sister decide between the 2 finalists and she chose Leah without hesitation. After a week here at home we have decided it was the perfect fit. Leah is doing great in her first week. She is eating well and sleeping most of the time. She has even adjusted to her crib very quickly (much to Mom and Dad's relief). Leah's adventures so far include: Being held by her older sister (believe me, that is an adventure), visting the doctor for her first follow up visit, being "kissed" by Lucy the dog, having her first bath. Mostly she spends quality time sleeping in the arms of Mommy, Daddy, or her favorite chair - papasan. We will keep you posted on Leah's further adventures as they happen so stay tuned!
